Memory in transition
A series of wearable mementos, ‘memory in transition’ aim to reconnect visitors to Cockatoo Island through creation of a unique experience enhancing memory. The idea of historical transition is explored by examining the physical, visual and metaphorical elements within the landscape. The pieces use a combination of fabric, fibre and metal reflecting layers of time and history that evolve gradually as the textiles fade away to reveal a jewellery piece embedded within the wearable.
