This work explores embodied identity amongst ageing women by transforming the experience of the physical body through positive reconfiguration. Embodiment is important to the lived experience of ageing women as their bodies become the sites through which their identity is constructed. Women’s experiences of ageing are dominated by generalised cultural perceptions of body image.
