The Experience - Community
Inspired by my volunteer trip to South Africa, 'The Experience' is a range of rugs designed to highlight aspects of my South African journey. Each design incorporates abstract and stylised African-inspired patterns, warm/earthy tones from the iconic African landscape and sunset, as well as including the bold primary colours of the South African flag.
'Community' reflects the teamwork involved by both the volunteers, organisation, and local residents to build a better community. It embraces a similar pattern seen on woven baskets, representing the interlocking efforts of the people involved.
