The Experience - Big 5
Inspired by my volunteer trip to South Africa, 'The Experience' is a range of rugs designed to highlight aspects of my South African journey. Each design incorporates abstract and stylised African-inspired patterns, warm/earthy tones from the iconic African landscape and sunset, as well as including the bold primary colours of the South African flag. 'Big 5' refers to the the five greatest wild animals of Africa - the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. I was fortunate to see 4 of these animals on my safari tour at Kruger National Park. The footprints of each animal was used to create the patterns for this rug.
