I C C I - Unknown
I C C I is an “urban storytelling” mixed-media awareness campaign for Cockatoo Island. It involves large-scale textile installations that represent different significant chapters of the island's “story” throughout time. 'Unknown' explores the vague, mysterious, yet intriguing characteristic of Cockatoo Island’s Aboriginal past. The use of various textile techniques aims to capture elements of the limited knowledge that exists about the island’s past Indigenous culture - such as its sea life and natural features such as oyster clusters - but there are still pages missing out of the island’s history book.
