War of Attrition (2011)
"War of Attrition" was a piece comprised of plaster sculpted into an environment which could be assembled in a variety of ways. The "environment" was inhabited by snails, who are dependent on moisture, which contrasted with the need of the plaster to absorb any moisture it encountered. Being almost allegorical in nature, the piece referenced the relationship between humans and our environment, where no balanced exchange takes place. Both parties need the same resources but do not form a united front.
