Investigation into Drawing (Part 2, 2013)
'Investigation into Drawing'is part of an ongoing investigation into the 'land of drawing'. The ongoing series explores the notion of drawing, particularly drawing which is intuitive and free. In Part 2 the drawing is no longer considered as merely a man made marking on a surface, but has become a collaboration between nature and self. The drawing takes place within the surface of the cloth, as colour from plant materials bonds with the textile. This piece is drawn in collaboration with chamomile leaves, turmeric, and ink.
