City of Time

Read my resume

‘City of Time’ looks at Hong Kong as a city of non-stop acceleration, not a city of space, but of time. The project looks at the notion of fluid space, where the design responds to light and it’s movement throughout time. Responding to the traditional courtyard of Chinese Architecture, the design looks to activate the empty spaces between buildings, while facilitating an understanding of Hong Kong’s past.

The textile appropriation maps the complexity of movement within the space, activating spaces through shadow where the space reflects the past, responds to the present, and allows external factors to influence its future.
