Hex Island Bar Chair
In Strait Arrangement.
Modular chairs inspired by the beautiful old cranes and rich history of ship building on Cockatoo Island in Sydney. The chairs are designed to interlock in a hexagonal shaped circle around a table for people to sit intimately with friends. The chairs are designed to also slide out with a light push for ease of entry and exit from the circle rather than having to awkwardly climb over the seat. The unusual shape of each chair also allows for various arrangements, for example it can be locked in place as a long straight bench, or arranged in a triangle or small hexagon shape. The seating options are therefore endless allowing the user to change their seating environment however they please.
