Graphology
Graphology is the study and analysis of handwriting, used to make an assessment of the writer, often for job profiling and similar endeavours. But in a society so overwhelmed by technology, something such as graphology and indeed handwriting itself is becoming a lost form of expression and art. My project seeks to re-evaluate the way we perceive handwriting and the importance we place on it as a means of individual expression. I took these ideas of individuality and expression to create a bespoke jewellery range, which takes its visual language directly from the analysis of different individual’s handwriting.
