I am fascinated by the way in which the human body has been represented by different cultures and civilizations throughout history. My installation reflects six months of experimentation with traditional stone carving tools. My practice often addresses the notion of relics, the remnants of an object that has stood the test of time. I enjoy reassessing situations from memories, trying to understand why it is that those moments were significant, the roles of the people involved and how these events have impacted on who I am today. Through this process I create relics of my own past.
