My drawings explore the merging of physical and ethereal realities. They act as portholes to a world unlike our own, suggestive of whirlpool galaxies or nebulae.
These scenes are in fact drawn from imagery taken by an endoscope, an instrument which examines the interior cavity of the body. Although physically representational, the drawings suggest the esoteric, urging the viewer to observe otherwise unseen connections. Both the sublime and the abject question the limits of human experience, be it excess or otherness. My work investigates the space that these two polarities co-inhabit and challenges us to see beauty in the unexpected.
