The birds like to come here and so do I
Bianca has developed a series of work that explores her personal connection to the property where she grew up. Mud, horse manure, water from the lagoon, grass and bird faeces are all meadiums used in this series. The Lagoon Written by Bianca Temple I found myself thinking about intentions - my own. As a feather danced accross the water in perfect time with the ripples I wondered; Could I be as light as a feather? Float freely without motive? Or were my actions always driven? The birds ran breaking silence, their wings touching the light- My own wings tightly bound by my dreams; The dreams that I dream too much without taking flight. Suddenly it's five years. You could have been anything. Panic. Questiong. Purpose. She said as you get older you realise life is long- I thought, that is the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me. Don't rush. Be like the feather and dance accross the water in perfect time with the ripples.
