The COFA Annual 2013

Elyse Hendry is a graphic designer/illustrator whose passion is language, juxtaposition and all things cute. She see’s her skills as being dialects of the visual communication language. Interested in observing how the science behind design combined with viewers own preferences can add or change meaning to a work, she often juxtaposes cute and or sweet with dark and morbid imagery. Anything that makes the view do a double take has succeeded.
Her major work is a picture book for children. With simplistic design and minimal words, she creates a visual story that can be understood with minimal text.
