The COFA Annual 2013

Resume

Nature is a very important part of my art practice, as I’m constantly inspired by its potential and transience. I’m drawn to its shapes, patterns, growth, decay, colour, texture and movement. My practice involves a process of replicating nature’s forms and patterns through the medium of textiles. I want my textiles to capture the delicateness and rhythm of nature and represent a process of growth and life. Eco-dying is also an integral element in my art practice and it allows me to literally use aspects of the environment to alter the surface of the fabrics with their pigments.
