As we move away from analogue photography into the digital world, the images we take rarely materialises or manifest in a physical or tangible sense.
The digital photograph is becoming so overused, and there are always new technologies that offer more and more possibilities to creatively degrade it. What I am interested in is what happens to these images after time, and how can we successfully archive in the digital world, before all the information becomes lost and forgotten. ‘Impermance’ explores the ephemeral nature of digital photography in relation to the process and materiality of analogue photography.
