The COFA Annual 2013

Resume

Chris McLean is a passionate media artist, specialising in photography in both digital and analogue forms.

His work focuses on the changing notions of societal and personal identity in a society heavily influenced by rapidly evolving technological constructs.  In particular, his work examines the juxtaposition between ancient and modern industrial structures, the self and modern technology.

These reflections on the ephemeral nature of the modern world can be perceived as either leading to a whittling away of individual human creativity or alternatively a new layering of hyper-connectedness ushered in by technological advances.
