In general, my works have reflected cross-cultural observations drawn from my Chinese and Australian background, as well as private and public narratives.
My later collagraph and etching multi-plate works were an exploration of the intersections and tangents between my own private familial history and public Chinese history. Interweaving these narratives into the templates of “Chinese” commercial snack packaging, is an attempt at deconstructing the “mass-produced”, superficial, facade of identity.
