My work is motivated by an enduring interest in the landscape and the structures that man builds within it. We, and the environment are interactive parts of the whole, yet we continue to attempt to domesticate and control the landscape. Future generations will be unable to distinguish between natural states and forms and those that have been manipulated, replicated and controlled. Feelings of nostalgia, fear, unease and regret flow from a loss of the natural environment. I wish to evoke such feelings so that the viewer questions our regard for, and relationship with the natural environment.
