The Gaze (installation fragment)
My work explores organic forms and textures through abstraction, oscillating between painting and installation. I am drawn to the delicate side of nature, with a focus on how organic forms and textures can be used to express our own physical and psychological state. Cocoons and other protective structures have informed my current work, leading me to explore our human response to anxiety through installation and digital media. My work explores our need to reduce the discomfort caused by anxiety through the construction of barriers, whether we retreat physically or within a psychological space.
