The COFA Annual 2013

The intimate scale and surreal composition of this series of miniatures was envisioned as a mode of evoking for the viewer a sense of wonder, imagination, and dream-like states. The audience is invited to enter these fantastical microcosms at close proximity, to revel in minute detail and bizarre combinations, aided by their personal sense of imagination.

Everyday objects are selected and transformed through artistic processes of altered materiality and manipulated facade to create the intended illusion. Consciously assembled and composed, each finished object invites close scrutiny to reveal the acute attention to detail and craftsmanship at the miniature scale.
