I have always been intrigued and fascinated by how individuals wear masks in order to signify to others how they wish to be treated. Whether these signals relate to protection, self confidence, attention or are for the visual delight of others, we all walk around in society wearing a face that is not ours. My work concerns itself with the remnants of mask creating rituals. Personalities are created and then discarded. In a sense, we hardly show our true face to others. Besides, isn't a good picture more important than a bad one, even if it is a lie?
