My Home in Duxton Plain
The main concept behind the postcard designs is to reflect the past, present and future of the Duxton Plain. The intention of the postcard design is to educate the residents of Pinnacle@Duxton on the historical development of the place they reside. Hence, the postcards were specifically designed with this group of target audience in mind, consisting of past images of Duxton Plain, as well as present view of the area which they are familiar with. The postcards were uniquely designed in rectangular sizing (21x10cm) to bring out the visual language of the long rich historical heritage of the Duxton Plain. The background of the postcards is in fact the 360 view of the skybridge, illustrating a visual metaphor of the present connecting with the past and future of Singapore. The forefront of the postcards are representative images captured from the signages located within the Pinnacle@Duxton, with the nutmeg trees and old Duxton housing flats signifying the past, Pinnacle@Duxton signifying the present, and the high-rise skyline representing the future of Singapore.
