Resume
While residual memory is vivid, those that are repressed are elusive and enigmatic, what remains is fragmented rather than a continuous narrative. When cognitive processes fail following trauma, I explore the loss & absence of memory working with the fragments of recall that persist thus adopting a language of memory mingled with fictional realities. Using the cathartic processes of art-therapy, I delve into this language to seek rational truth and attempt to heal the decayed psyche. Through my discoveries I question the public & private parameters of self-confession & the psychological implications following trauma by exploring the dialogue between victim, violence & loss.
