Resume

My sculptures are organic in form and sexually explicit, emotionally aggressive, yet witty. They share a set of repeated themes centred on the human body and it’s need for protection in a frightening world. Abandoned by my father at the age of four then brought up by a domineering mother were experiences that I have still not quite put to rest. I find making art a cathartic process, it exorcises my pain and as a result I am highly prolific. My work portrays abstract images of the body, sensual, sometimes grotesque examples of perseverance in the face of neglect.
