The COFA Annual 2013

Resume

I am a sculptor, installation artist and printmaker. My works are created around two quite disparate themes – a questioning of the sustainability of continual economic growth as our dominant paradigm, and the beauty and wonder of neurobiology – interests arising from previous careers. Increasingly I turn to thread as a preferred medium, appreciating the metaphorical qualities of ravelling and unravelling. I would like viewers of my work to appreciate the visual qualities, but also hope they will engage with the ideas behind the piece, and that their own thoughts might travel new paths as a result of the encounter.
