The COFA Annual 2013

Reality; the observable physical world is made up of fragments. It is apparent that there exists an unconscious reality in between the moments of viewing everyday affairs. As light is absorbed by an object and reflected back to the naked eye we are exposed to the observable world. In considering this process of reflection and absorption we examine colour, geometry, space, perspective and the material of the subject in question. The subject of our observation is broken down and fragmented, pieced back together, giving away only a fraction of reality. Through a lens, one eye, reality is refracted and dissociated.
