Swallow the lies and go quietly, or die with your eyes open?, 2013
Being a sculptor, I create work that I find pleasure in making. My obsessions fuel my creativity and are often spawned from a curiosity in materials. Material experimentation often results in a cathartic expression of themes such as childhood trauma, disconnectedness to ones body and beauty in the disturbing. My work is deeply personal and I feel each piece represents a factor of myself or a period of my life. Currently, my latest fascination is with the body.
