The COFA Annual 2013

Operatic composer Richard Wagner induced the conceptual artistic practice of Gesamkunstwerk – the inclusiveness of all senses in an individual’s practice. My appropriated rendition of the Gesamkunstwerk is a compilation of visual, sound and subjective culture that works harmoniously to provoke a harmonized sensory experience.

“Gesamkunstwerk Ulteriority” focuses on the sensory experience of ulterior stimulation and the encompassment of immediacy and presence that we generally are unable to engage with for an extended period of time. Through photographing naturalistic compositions, textures and glimpses of indistinctive objects creates a captured depiction of the transience and ephemerality of a sensory stimulated experience.
