The COFA Annual 2013

Emily is a multidisciplinary designer who is constantly inspired by new materials, and drawn particularly to unique colour palettes, intricate patterns and comforting textures. Her design practice is about using these elements in unexpected ways to create a unique harmony in her projects.

Emily’s design philosophy is to always maintain a level of abstraction by using unexpected mediums, materials and processes. She believes chance should play a role in the design process rather than the designer trying to force a particular outcome to suit their own vision. This approach has lead her to far more interesting, authentic and honest designs.
